School Without Walls: The Beginning of a New Season

A special atmosphere once again filled the Reimer Center — a new season of the “School Without Walls” had begun. This time, about twenty young people gathered for the first meeting, eager to grow in their faith, service, and understanding of God’s calling. For many of them, it was not just another class or club, but a space where they could find answers to deep questions, share their doubts, and be inspired for the journey ahead.

The meeting began with friendly conversation, as participants introduced themselves, shared their stories, and spoke about their expectations for the new season. It was clear that everyone came for a reason — each carried a quiet hope for spiritual renewal. After a short introduction, the main session began, focused on the theme of calling — a topic that remains deeply relevant for today’s youth.

Many of those present are only beginning their walk with God, and the question “How can I hear His call?” often becomes a challenge. The participants listened, reflected, and discussed how to discern where God is leading them and what it means to be faithful to Him in everyday details. The speaker reminded them that a calling is not only a profession or role in the church — it is first and foremost a condition of the heart, a readiness to say “yes” to God even when the path ahead is uncertain.

During the session, the group studied the story of Joseph from the Book of Genesis — a man who endured betrayal, injustice, and years of waiting before his calling was fulfilled. Through Joseph’s example, the participants saw that God’s plans are not always easy, but they are always good. Joseph did not give up; he remained faithful, and through his trials, he became ready for the role God had prepared for him.

This story deeply resonated with the listeners. Some recognized themselves in moments of waiting, others in seasons of doubt, and some realized for the first time that calling can also be revealed through simple acts of serving others. After the discussion, the young people shared their thoughts, prayed for one another, and thanked God for reminding them that each person has a unique place in His plan.

Today, a new generation of leaders is being formed at the Reimer Center — young men and women actively serving in children’s, youth, and music ministries. For many, the “School Without Walls” has become the place where they not only learn but also grow spiritually, becoming people ready to influence others for good.

The meeting ended in an atmosphere of prayer, gratitude, and joy. The participants left with new thoughts, inspiration, and a desire to seek God’s will in their lives. The new season has only just begun, but it’s already clear — there are many discoveries, transformations, and moments ahead where God will work through young people ready to respond to His call with their lives.
