A meeting of the School Without Walls took place at Reimer Center — a program aimed at preparing and spiritually shaping young Christian leaders. This time only a small group gathered, yet it created a special atmosphere of focus, openness, and deep reflection. The theme of the meeting — “Dedication to God in Ministry” — required careful inner listening and honesty before oneself.
In times when the war constantly reminds people of its reality, when electricity in the city is frequently cut off, and when life is filled with tension and uncertainty, the conversation about dedication takes on a different tone. Dedication is always about choice — about what remains in the heart when everything around feels fragile.
The leaders sat in a circle; some held a Bible, others a notebook. The hall was filled with openness, trust, and silence — the kind in which it becomes easier to hear not only words but the voice of one’s own heart.
Although only a few people came, they were those who truly serve God. Young men and women who, in the midst of difficult trials, have not stepped back or given up. Some volunteer in the city, some serve children and teenagers, some teach the Bible, and others support families living near the front line.
There are not many of them — but they are genuine. Faithful. A fire that burns quietly yet brightly.
During the meeting, the group reflected on the idea that dedication is not measured by numbers but by hearts that remain steadfast. Sometimes God gathers not a crowd but exactly those who are ready to go further, who long to be a light in the darkness of war. And that day, such people sat at Reimer Center.
Zaporizhzhia, despite danger and its closeness to the front line, remains filled with faithful followers of Jesus Christ. Here — in a city where electricity is often cut off and sirens have become a background to daily life — a spiritual core is being formed. People who continue His work: learning together, supporting one another, praying, sharing their burdens, and serving those in need.
