Polina is a young and inspired leader who is part of the “School Without Walls” team in Zaporizhzhia. This initiative focuses on developing the potential of young Christian leaders who strive to change society while preserving their values. Polina is also responsible for the youth movement at the Reimer Center—a place where young people find support, inspiration, and opportunities for growth.
“I want the teenagers I work with to grow into developed, conscious, and active Ukrainians who build the country based on Christian principles,” says Polina. Her vision goes beyond traditional education; she dreams of creating an environment where young people can not only gain knowledge but also shape their worldview, leadership skills, and a sense of responsibility to society.
As part of the “School Without Walls,” Polina and her team develop programs that help young people realize their potential, enhance critical thinking, and strengthen their moral and spiritual values. “Christianity is part of my identity, so I am also called to share the good news with the youth I work with,” she admits. She believes that faith is an integral part of life that can drive positive social change.
Polina also dreams of making the Reimer Center a place where young people feel free, can grow as individuals, and find like-minded peers. “I dream of creating a third place after family and school where teenagers can feel completely open, develop physically and intellectually,” she explains.
Reimer Center has become a platform for youth development in various aspects of life. It hosts educational training sessions, spiritual meetings, sports activities, and social initiatives. Polina works tirelessly to turn this center into not just a gathering place but a true community that supports, educates, and inspires.
Despite her achievements, Polina’s journey has not been easy. She faces challenges related to securing resources, attracting new participants, and continuously improving programs. However, her faith and determination to change the world around her keep her moving forward.
“I see how young people change. They start taking responsibility for their lives, become more conscious citizens, and seek opportunities for development. This is my greatest motivation,” Polina shares.
Her story is an example of how one person can become a catalyst for great changes in society. Thanks to her efforts, dozens of young people have the opportunity to discover their calling, unlock their talents, and follow their life path with faith and confidence.
In the future, Polina aims to create even more opportunities for teenagers. She dreams of opening new spaces for youth where they can freely discuss ideas, share experiences, and receive the necessary knowledge and support. Her biggest dream is to establish a specialized center that will become a true hub for teenage development, where they can realize their talents, engage in sports, gain professional skills, and grow spiritually.
Moreover, Polina is working on mentorship programs that will help young people find their calling, develop character, and strengthen leadership qualities. She believes that mentorship is one of the most effective ways to nurture strong and responsible individuals.
Through her work and unwavering desire for change, a community of young people is emerging in Zaporizhzhia who are not afraid to take responsibility, grow, and make the world a better place. Her mission is far from over, and every day she continues to move forward, opening new horizons for the next generation.
