In Zaporizhzhia, weekly gatherings have become a true source of hope for those facing difficult life circumstances. A Christian community lovingly prepares hot meals to feed and support the destitute.
About 100 people attend each meeting. Some come seeking a piece of bread, others — a kind word, and some — comfort. Alongside the meal, the Good News is shared: words about God’s love, hope, and new life in Christ.
“I believe that those who come today just to eat will one day come to Jesus and find the true meaning of life,” says Volodymyr, the leader of this ministry. With this faith, the volunteer team prepares food, smiles, listens, and prays for each person every week.
These gatherings already have their regular attendees. Many have started coming to church, asking questions about faith, and sharing their struggles. For some, this has become the first step toward spiritual renewal.
This ministry is more than just distributing food. It’s a place where lives are changed, hearts are warmed by love, and new direction is given to life.
