At the beginning of the new season, a familiar and beloved space came alive again at Reimer Center – the English club for teenagers. After the summer break and a pause in classes, the young people gathered once more to continue their journey in learning the language, exploring new topics, and discovering new opportunities.
This club has a very special atmosphere. It is not only about learning words or grammar rules – it is about building a community. From the very first minutes of the renewed meetings, it was clear how much the teenagers had missed one another and the learning process itself. With smiles, they shared their summer stories and at the same time eagerly started new tasks.
Alongside the teenage group, there is also a class for younger children, where teacher Olya helps the little ones take their very first steps in English. The leaders also plan to launch a middle-age group so that children of all ages can join. There are many plans, and we truly believe that all this will help children not to focus only on the war, but to grow, learn, and dream.
English teacher Serhii emphasizes: “It is a great joy for me to see how the teenagers returned after the break with a strong desire to continue learning. Despite the war, the news, and the alarms, these meetings allow us to move forward. They help not to get stuck in difficulties, but to live and develop even in such conditions.”
Each meeting is a small victory – over fear, uncertainty, and the temptation to close oneself off. The revival of the English club reminds everyone: life goes on. Despite the war, children and teenagers can grow, build knowledge, and plan for the future. Reimer Center continues to be the place where this is possible.
